Berthing in Darling Harbour

Pyrmont bridgePlace Management NSW owns and/or manages several wharves in Darling Harbour including Cockle Bay.

You can use this system to book:

  • Convention Wharf (north end)

Pyrmont Bridge

Due to construction works at Pyrmont Bridge Span 7, all vessels are advised to proceed with caution while entering Cockle Bay. Access to the bay will be now be via Span 8 (towards the city).

At times when Span 8 is closed, please proceed to Span 9.

For the safety of construction workers, this area has been designated a NO WASH Zone.

Pyrmont Bridge crosses Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour and provides a pedestrian walkway from the Sydney CBD to Pyrmont. The bridge is opened as required to allow vessels access to Darling Harbour.

Vessels over 7 metres in height must request a bridge opening in order to proceed into Cockle Bay. This will change according to the tides. Please click here to view the Sydney Harbour tidal chart.

Access to Cockle Bay during this period will be restricted to vessels less than 7 metres in height. Alternate berthing arrangements for taller vessels may be arranged by contacting Property Manager, Tracey Clark on Tracey.Clark@cbre.com or 1300 275 223.


Making a booking

To book a berth and Pyrmont Bridge opening, vessel operators must hold a Commercial and Casual Berthing Licence.
If you do not hold a Berthing Licence, click here to obtain an application form.

If booking after hours please contact Darling Harbour Ranger Control on D.HRangercontrol@property.nsw.gov.au

To make a booking:

  1. Select the date and time you wish to book.
  2. Select Convention Wharf and/or a Pyrmont Bridge opening.
  3. Click the submit button.
  4. Casual visits and Pyrmont Bridge openings must be paid for in advance by credit card unless there are credited funds for the vessel. An invoice will be available to be printed.
  5. Once you have made your bookings, click logout.
